Students

Based on the current Tennessee charter school law, LEAD Academy students will most likely enter school significantly behind grade-level and will be exposed to dramatic changes in demands and expectations. The transition will be difficult for many students, which is why the LEAD Academy model incorporates a social and academic support network which focuses on individualized attention.

LEAD Academy students will be well-known and supported by staff, instructors, and community members. Each student’s academic progress and character development are followed over time by a team of caring and dedicated adults. School structures ensure each student’s needs are met and individual strengths are discovered and nurtured, including small-group Crew groups and small grade level groups.
